Perfect dissolving technology for very good fiber quality
Fibers and the like are the final products formed after a series of complex processes such as mixing, dissolving, spinning and drying. The quality of the fibers depends on the dissolution step in the preparation of the original solution. Only completely dissolved raw materials can form a uniform, pure and bubble-free spinning solution. This solution then needs to be further processed through an adjusted spinning nozzle. At the same time, the dissolution and spinning processes must be flexible enough to adapt to different types of raw materials. The dual-axis self-cleaning equipment of KaiZheng Company has been successfully applied in this type of process. In the later stage of the dissolution process, its viscosity can reach 5000 Pa.s, and in extreme cases, it can reach 100000 Pa.s.
The dissolution process is typically divided into two steps: mixing and dissolution. Mixing is carried out in a pre-mixer, while dissolution takes place in a dissolver. The result is a continuously produced spinning solution with a very high cellulose content. In the laboratory system, a spinning solution containing 28% cellulose was achieved; in the pilot plant, the cellulose content was 16% - 18% before re-dilution and then reduced to 8% - 13% to meet the perfect cellulose content required for the spinning process. Due to the very narrow particle size distribution, the spinning solution is extremely uniform.
By applying the principle of high-viscosity processing, higher mechanical energy input can be provided when dissolving cellulose in NMMO or ionic liquid. Therefore, this process is more efficient and the production capacity can be significantly increased: the fiber output of a single production line can reach 100 tons per day. This represents a remarkable advancement in the production of fibers in a more environmentally friendly way, such as liquid bamboo fiber, compared to traditional viscose fiber.
